Haunting demons taunt and tease They shame our souls and minds Telling us that we're to blame For being true and kind. "You deserved it," they will claim "You did not call for help. You laid there silent, not a word To say that you want out." "What's wrong with you? Can't you see? You are the one at fault. You must not have minded it It did not come to a halt." They bind us and control us And we don't understand Why it seems that we're to blame For actions of others' hands.
