I haven't the means to travel Yet a vacation is in sight It starts with my creative mind I will set sail tonight My thoughts are busy packing Silk dresses on the bed My dancing shoes fall into place Anticipation lies ahead The limosine rolls up the drive Curving around the bend Champagne on ice, a mystery man Is what imagination sends We breeze along the highway Beneath a starlit sky The cruise ship docked and waiting I feel like I could fly I step onto the platform The captain waves hello He motions go to first class You will enjoy the show Rooms filled with entertainment Free-will whets my appetite I foretaste the dry martini And rejoice into the night Enchantment lies before me My vacation dream made real I float away to ecstacy Forever cherishing How I feel [This message has been edited by Deborah1 (edited 07-02-2000).] |

great poem i loved the last part how you said it was made real. but if by ecstacy you mean the drug in the furture that will mess you up. which i hope you make the right choice and stop. well if thats what you mean. I like your poem. I've heard of that drug and in reading this, I knew you didn't mean the drug...must be a generational thing. |

(Where in blazes was I on July 1st that I missed this one too?) This is super, Deb. I was right there with you...and wishing I really was. What a nice trip you took me on....even if we didn't do the drug Exctasy. Hardrock |

What a beautiful poem Deb! Really lovely. Really imaginative. I wish you could have it for real! And don't worry, it definitely doesn't have a drug ring, and certainly not an E one. Dreamy: yes. Druggy: no. Lotharingia "Dreams are life, reality, creation" Miguel de Unanumo |
