What Part Do I Play |

No matter what the circumstance No matter how things are Acknowledging the part we play Is the most revealing truth by far This world presents a picture We design and pave our way Carefully selecting a costume Choosing what part we play This does not mean we are to blame Or deserve the pain and sorrow Yet if we can ask what part we play It just might change tomorrow It might unlock the chains that bind Empower us to soar Challenge us to a higher place While opening new doors I have played.. so many parts The star of my own show I have stumbled and fallen many times Thinking there was no place left to go They say life comes full circle What we give we shall recieve I hope by knowing what part I play Myself I won't decieve |

Deborah...throughout life you will play many parts. Life's play begins as one thing, shifts as it progresses and the finale is nothing like the start. It seems you have an understanding of this....and a desire to know just what part you WILL play. If you figure it out, let me know......I have changed roles so many times. At least I don't get bored with the play. Well done and well thought out. I enjoy your writings.....Hardrock |

Deborah...A very nice poem with great insight! Life be not God's greatest gift. Of what worth be life without the capability to love? |
