Before I was born, you were the strongest man, running wildly, a Harley Davidson your passion, with Moms arms holding on tightly You planned my existence, carefully, waiting, then celebrating my new life When I was three you stood so tall, a mountain of strength, you would become my everything.... Trust, Love, Patience, Kindness, You were my Santa Claus, My Easter bunny, you chased all the monsters away...any childs fantasy, was my real world You could fix anything, just give it to Dad, the chain on my new Huffy bicycle, I rode so proudly The ice skating, your figure eights were really something, and the gleam in your eye as you pulled me up on water skis..I was five, and you had an undying confidence in me I was born with a soul, that you fed and kept alive, I remember your smell, your hard working hands, yet tender touch Your blue eyes sparkled, oh so kind, Im the luckiest little girl. God gave me the strongest man Its hard to believe what I will see, my strongest man be taken down by sickness. Where did the time go, I want to go back I looked into your eyes, glazed over with pain, but I know you see the memories, the wonderful story of our life, pictures flashing by I prayed for God to take you, this shell of a man, what is left of the strongest man in the world..But I wasn't prepared, I could never speak your name after you left...I still have a hard time saying....Dad |

You are both lucky to have even known your fathers... Though i cant really relate, i do understand love, i am happy that you got to have such a wonderful experience. |

Deb, that was so beautiful, and I am just about to cry, so sad. |

Deborah a wonderful tribute to your father, beautifully written. A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry |
