CREED

Riches unattained?
Life, so preordained.
Take my turn in the turnstile
To await the unexplained.

Can't fight what I can't see.
Who is this man called me?
Gods throw the dice of sacrifice
We call Humanity.

A life of grim reward;
The demons draw the sword!
With blood so vile I have to smile,
‘Tis all I could afford.

Yet Dawn's another day
For those who've lost the way.
And shadows swim in light of Him
That all must bow and pray...

...For penance that we bleed.
...For sufferance we need.
...For tomorrow, for Grief, Sorrow,
And every beggar's Creed.

Michael Anderson

But dreams of those who dream as I,
Aspiringly, are damned and die.

I do LOVE this one...the first verse especially hit home with a peculiar irony for me...in that odd way of relating where it's almost startling....lol...ya did it again...

Yep. Incredible.

The many sides of life, explored with your usual strong poetic style. Really enjoyed this read.

It's in your eyes a fire that's wild and glorious

The last line leaves one with lots to ponder.  I have to tell you this sure would work well with rap and I don't care for rap, but would listen to this one.
