Forbidden Love Headed for destruction, I cared not for the dangers. Searching for something, someone or anything to fill the void. Living in a fantasy world I escape the realities of my life. Trapped, tortured, broken and bruised, A wounded angel was I. Connected by cyberspace, a friend introduced us. Though we belonged to others, our passion took control. I revealed to you my soul, my deepest wants and desires. You were so easy to talk to, you listened and truly cared. I could tell you anything. Somewhere along the way, our friendship changed to something more. I didn’t expect to care for you but fate had its way. You touched my heart, reached within my very soul. Now we’re bound forever by stolen moments, You are my secret love, my forbidden love. Each time I see your name, my heart flutters wildly. Your passion changed me from tortured, broken and bruised. You gave me wings. Transformed am I, into an angel of passion. An angel filled with the passion of forbidden love in cyberspace. |

Been there, done that, got the plane tickets! yep, very good poem and a strong emotion, and a good debut too! I have a challenge for you.... it is up to you whether you choose to accept it.. can you rewrite the poem but this time not in free verse but either in blank verse (i.e. with equal line lengths and rhythm) or in full form with rhyme, rhythm and bells on top.... the reason why I ask is that the topic you chose is so close to a lot of cyberpoets hearts it would automatically gain huge praise!!!! and finally..... welcome! |

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome to DP. I did this "on a lark" because a friend encouraged me. I've never thought of myself as a writter but I have found this to be a way to help me deal with the realities of my world. Your kind comments are very much appreciated and I think I will be around for a while. |

Welcome to DP....very good post. I am going through something similiar RIGHT NOW and that hardest part is gaining my family's acceptance...everyone has something bad to say about it based on the media's negative portrayal of internet love.... ...beth |
