The fire roars inside Screaming "Feed me" "Give me more" I do Even though I know The tiny shreds I'm providing Will only give it a short time to burn But its flames You should see its flames Charging Like a thousand warriors in combat All fighting All at once They're so real So me Powerful Immense Grand Invulnerable I'm anyone i want to be I'm a millionaire A Don Juan A James Bond A Charles Bukowski An Everest climber Even a president And when the flames start to flicker I realize I would last much longer If I built a proper fire for myself Stoked it Prodded it Gave it time to heat up And grow inside I realize that But how would I keep warm? |

"I'm anyone I want to be" What a great line! A blazing way to make your debut at Passions....Welcome and I hope to see much more posted from you. With a little piece of tomorrow, You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye. Because today won't last forever, And the past will only make you cry. |

Impressive style and content. I'm glad that you, like so many here, aren't afraid to tackle a major internal problem through verse. That's always been a major method for me to fight big problems. Welcome to Passions. Hope you enjoy your stay, and keep up the good work! |

Marcos...I agree, very nice first post. Well done. For a similar, but slightly different slant on this, go read my poem "White Powder"...you might find it interesting. Hardrock |
