In the shadow stricken night
moonlight hair flows over the
cold shoulder of darkness
like a bat she set him free
from the caves of romance
now only haunted by whispers
and the gasping echo of his voice
within their souls were the thrills
of pleasure and seduction
now she sleeps alone
within the caverns of her heart
she still feels the moisture of his lips
upon hers..and his breath whispering
in the auburn of her hair
In the twilight
the billowing of the wind
claws against her windowpane
and again..she thinks of him

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

I like this VERY much!!
Dark but sensual, great imagery and a wonderful feel to it.

Victoria...Excellent work here.  Great imagery, palpable emotions.  But you always turn in a sterling performance, as they say in showbiz.  Hardrock
