i fell in love with a liar
choosing to believe in his prayer
hoping my love would make it right
it only turned into fright

my mind is so soaked in his speeches
that i forgot reality teaches
not to sin no more
for life implore
for me to stop believing a lie
i cry
too often
to forget
the momentum
of his drum
calling me evil
to desire his will

Oh wow!!!!! My ex husband was like that too     He only wanted to see me fail but I thought he wanted me to succeed.  Very nice display of emotions here. Liked it

Great piece. It got me thinking.

Sometimes I wonder if hope is such a good thing to have. Ah, my friend, I, too, can relate with this one, remember you are not alone
