This piercing chill tonight Clings murderously to my bones, Many moons I have felt alive Yet this night I feel so alone. The rain stings my train of thought As the trees bend in such pain, A trip to despair my ticket bought COnfusion settles me insane. It was heavn to see you smile To believe again someone cared, An emotion absent quite a while So now I'm left befuddled and scared. Once again I put forth this heart By you to be safely taken from me, Yet written words tore it apart Oblivious of what you mean to me. Shattered dreams and wee morning lies Seems that deception be a common tool, I fall off under these angry skies I didn't realize an angel could be so cruel. Sparkling eyes with hidden deceit Previously had mezmorized my mind, Praying one day our bond would meet Now you've left it all far behind. A shiver creeps over my tired eyes As it all seems to slip away, This hurtful feeling I still despise But I'll awake for another day. I feel so left out and taken from you I am beside myself with grief, To do whatever it takes to show my truth Just to make you my eternity. Jeremy T.
