I stared outside my window, From safe within my shroud. A warm wind is blowing, Making dead leaves dance, Beneath the stormy clouds. A rolling thunder echoes, Sending tremors up and down my spine. Branches rattle ghostly, And the wind begins to whine. A flash of lightning bursting Into the open night, Silhouettes are now dancing, A vision to incite, A face reflected, for a moment, Upon my window pane. Your eyes stare back inviting, From beyond the coming rain. A whisper calls me softly, Although there is no sound, As a warm wind blows, Making dead leaves dance, Beneath the stormy clouds |

Hi Ron, this is so lyrical and with very strong images. Lovely. Thanks, also, for your note on my poem. Sandra |

Very nice description here. I like the use of nature in poetry. Looking forward to reading more of your writings..Dee ![]() "It doesn't matter who you love, or how you love, but that you love" Rod McKuen |

This reminds me of the scene in Wuthering Heights when I-forget-his-name 'dreams' that Cathy is calling for Heathcliff outside the window... good write! ![]() "He looked across the silky surface of the Severn... it was a famously difficult river with fierce tides..." From Jack Maggs |
