It’s Raining….. It’s raining…. I always think of you when it rains. Memories of how you loved the rain, Of how we walked, talked, held hands, and kissed, In the rain. It’s raining….. Storms frightened you. But I held you and could feel the fear leave. You were safe in my arms, my heart, my love, In the rain. It’s raining…. I still think of you when it rains. Memories of you leaving in the rain. Of how we lied, cried, said goodbyes, In the rain. It’s raining….. And now I’m the one who is afraid. Afraid that I will never again know love such as yours, Where I felt safe in your arms, your heart, your love, In the rain. |

YAY, HARDROCK IS BACK!! Allow me to be the first to read this poem. It's fantastic. I don't have that association with the rain,(thankfully) it just makes me think of my tears so abundant that the sky has to pour them out. The rest of it sure hits home, ever so well. More...More.. Sandra |

Oh how I love the rain..it means alot to me. I can relate so well to the "feelings" here, and the rain was a perfect choice, just perfect!!!This surrounded me with sounds and feelings!! Loved it!!!!!... But I know the sun will shine down upon your heart again........ The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose...--Hada Bejar |

Hardrock i'm gald were both back at the same time than so we can read each others work. this one is great along with the rest. it's i good point you made with one object "the rain" bringging back all those memories funny how one thing can do that. Thanks to you all for your very kind words. I went through a little dry spell and I got busy with work....but Dark Kisses Within kinda coaxed into coming back with her poem about me. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. Note to Firecrackker....If you use the Search feature at the top of this page, you can find ALL the poems from any one of the poets posting here in the forum.
