    The fragrance of the night
     is alive with dead roses
come to me my free spirit
     whoever you may be
     but beware
     when the moon is yellow
     in its darkest hour
     and the shadows sleep
you will be in my power
     you will see seduction
     burning in the lantern
     of my dreams
my free spirit in the wind
     come.. be my eternal love
     i am the woman you
     have always searched for
let the wind whisper good bye
     as our silhouettes descend
on the cobwebbed wall of eternity

Definitely an interesting poem... I was pondering the "yellowish" color of the moon just the other night, and associated it with the darkness as well. Interesting the connectiosn you can make from such a revelation. Hope he finds you - words are too precious to be wasted, but never a good substitute for... reality.

Victoria, this is perfect. I wish all that postive magic I sent out had worked, but I think yours will.
Love this.

Victoria...I have to agree with Chris on the word element...they just don't cut it sometimes, or rather, they are simply not enough.

my free spirit in the wind
come.. be my eternal love

These lines are very eloquent...you have a distinctive style I've noticed, it's very graceful.

this just was incredibly lovely. the line "alive with dead roses" i really liked, as well as the light sensuality of the piece.
