Where once lived dreams of an ocean side
now possessing demons reside.
scales of lost loves residue
ashes covering memories of you.

Better days that did only exist,
in a fertile mind
now eerily twist,
into branches,
arms,
that seek to entwine
whatever loves left
in this heart of mine.

And, as you did once,
my hands they bind.
The terror lives on,
in my empty mind.
Now only able to walk
yet alone,
through this garden of pain,
where hope once was grown.

Where I choose
what I want
or at least, this I tell
to myself
everyday
justifying the hell
that now is my mind
where no memories hide
of the days when I dreamt
of a blue oceanside.

I wished you labeled this poem blue oceanside. I loved the poem though. Great work!!

I am so happy you like it. The name is such as it is the true story of my first "love". All I write has reference to either myself, or some facet of my life. I am just now starting to write from outside personal experience, but I do still keep a small bit of myself in every piece. @}~~>~~~~
