We don't understand it, This thing between us, Can't put it in any category, But comfort settles in like dust. Meeting of the minds? That isn't quite it. Touching of the souls? Together they seem to fit. Words we are afraid to speak, Feelings we don't comprehend, We may never be together, But there'll never be an end. Perhaps we were together in other lives? That could explain this spiritual joining, Perhaps this love, Is a karma type of feeling? We can't put our fingers on it, Can't explain this unending bond, A love, a longing, never ending, More powerful than words or song. A guiding light for us both, A single candle in the dark, A talisman, a single shining hope, It's no whimsy or lark. This gift of ours is oh so special, To be savoured and treasured our lifetimes through, Too perfect to follow up, too perfect to question, Whatever the reason, I'm grateful for you... *Our deeds travel with us from afar, and what we have been makes us what we are..* ~Isis~Goddess~~Sovereign of the Spirit~ |

I love these lines...cements the magical feel and then ends in pure, unquestioned acceptance. If only more people could learn to accept things the way they were... |
