Do you ever see it coming, See it rolling gently forth? Does it ever reach you, Exposing all it’s worth. Do you beckon it, Encourage it, Demand that it presents? If so, Can you stand naked before it And embrace all that it consents? Do you follow, When you demand that it lead? Do you nurture it’s products And set them to seed? And, As the seeds flourish Do you? Nurture them To grow wild… Do you? Smother them Keeping the beauty inside… Do you? Expose them Let them flounder ‘til they die. |

An interesting poem Nancee, Oh by the way I missed this on your first post. Welcome to passions. and thank you for all your replies. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

A myriad of possibilities with all those questions and then the statement at the end twists it around. Intriguing. |

I found so many different meanings in this poem. It's one of those "universalist" type writings that adjusts itself to each person, based on his/her experiences. Viewed from different perspectives, like a diamond, it reflects its many facets. Great work....great poem. I feel positively good! Thanks...... |
