(this may bee a bit odd for an ode, but I absolutally adore Alice Cooper...such a poet he is if one listens or reads the words he has written, like "only women bleed" or "you and me"...and many others)

Sporting his top hat and cane
smiling wild eyed, a bit insane
Whispering deeply
"Welcome to my nightmare..."
confindent that all who venture there
will like it
even if it is sick, just a bit.
Telling us stories
in all his "Formerly Warmer" glories
while some where in the distance
we hear some one calling "Steven"
with resistance.
Maybe he will invite us on a trip
to visit "Nurse Rosette", but do not give her any lip.
Talking with the "Prince of Darkness"
to see if "School is out" or just in perminent recess.
Teaching us a moral lesson of how "Only women bleed" and his Frankinstine has a sexual appitite that needs to feed.
...and oh how I cried when he told us some one was
"Ripping the sawdust from his teddybear"
and how "Dead babies can't take care of themselves".
We all are "Humanary stew"
when the "Black widow" is through.
Writting tender
words of "How you gonna see me now" in a letter
mixing nightmares and love together
He is forever
taking us though this "Brutal Planet"
with every frightening sonnet.
Just as "Desperado"
on and on his words flow
He is Alice, Alice Cooper,
Vincent to be true
and his shock rock legend will forever
ring true.

"There is an alter ego which
dwells in every soul..."

I am tears of pain, tears of Death.
