SHORES OF JERICHO: Waves come and waves go Upon the shores of Jericho My walls, my home, my life all gone What once seemed right now wrong Tiny birds come to me They touch my heart, make me see Life is but a cyclic force Binding us to stay its course Whosoever learns my name Hears my heart, feels the same Given once it calls no more Beating waves upon its shore For I am not indestructible Iron to iron defensible The grating of a painful mind Causes blindness of a different kind I stand alone upon this shore The waves stiller than before Never-ending time returns To whisper, forever, sacred yearns. |

No reason indeed, this was a masterful piece of work, I’m just glad Nikolette Sadness saved it from the depths. ---------------------- Spreading insanity, one post at a time |

Absolutely beautiful, very emotional, and wonderful poem. Cat.... Practice can make anything perfect...even grief can become an art. Merrit Malloy |
