The Stolen Chase Like a razor down the belly of a pregnant snake you are sharp and cold and full of burn. Weapons in a child's hands through tall and browning grass fires in the front burning the waste...and the family. Glass bottles get hot when they lay in fire. When they roll out you pick them up right away...and let me laugh ...let me see you fall again, come here,...show the guys. I fall silent through the final hour and you laughing,... letting purple distort our faces and be seen, and be heard and taken care of it was all we could do.... and the sun burned that day, on those days..it was hot as hell and nauseating....it blinded me when I tried to look up at you. So afraid that it would hurt either way. The sun and the contact with your eyes. They are like that of a devil,... and your sick demented ideas of fun are wasted and reeking and so damn stale, ...beyond that really. So you chase the little thing for miles and sweat for the flesh of innocence, tracking trails of blood, an arrow fallen. You run,..and search and oh, you hear the sound of an engine revving and it's confusing your screwed up head, it's throwing you off, you are busy and running and trying to find and I'm out there somewhere... and finally you catch a glimpse of me and I'm hopping in and taking off, in a pick up just like your's and I'm waving,...I'm bleeding and my hand is severly burned, but I'm waving,..and smiling and leaving,...and I have my friend to thank for taking your truck ,... haha and taking me away. |

i like the way it tells a story. and the end where she/he gets away that seems to make it a happy poem. great work. I'm the lord, I'm the havoc, I'm the soul |

Lucky I was not your friend then, I'd have smashed his face, then drove you away, still might. It is a horrible thing in our past as children abused by this kind of monster. I still might smash him. Love ya kid. Joel. Joel I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

Lots of emotions here....from you in writing and me in reading. I like how you took the incident, focused on it....and gave "redemption" at the end. Very enjoyable. |
