In the darkness, her arms enfold me. She smells nothing like you! Her cool kisses rain upon my lips and brow. Not with the warmth you always showed. My mind recoils, but my body submits. In that dark room, she whispers, a name that I do not know. When we are done, she pushes me away. She doesn't hold me,like you always did. She does not tell me,the things only you can say. She cares not that I tremble and weep. In the cold embrace,of one I do not know. I'm so alone. Where is the one I have always loved?? A cold lover is the worst, but wanting that someone special back has ?? got to be the end of us. great pain and feeling within this kid. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

~What a lack of compassion on the "She" part....portrayed well. The receiver of this has got to hurt...and the longing for the true love is a heartbreaker....wow...great poem. hehe. Take care. *Peace. |

Wow, deep and painful!! Well Written!! Bridgette "Creation of woman from the rib of Man: She was not made from his head to top him; nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him; but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved." -Unknown |

I remember when I broke up with my first wife...not my choice..and I compared other women to her for about two years..they could never measure up to her...finally I started seeing the beauty that they alone possessed...each has her own beauty..perhaps we just need to let go of the past to find the beauty of this moment....James |

I can feel the absence of love in your poem. Not alone, but oh so lonely. I know the feeling well. Sandra |

The cold embrace of a cold lover is like death...wanted, yet unwanted all at the same time. Darkness is the key to many things, but beware of what you seek... |

you know you really got me on this one. i have used sex for love so many times. i fear it will happen again. do you by any chance share these words with her?? is she so far gone that she can't see your abiding love for her? i hope not. forgiveness is the key to love. keep it up. love your work, click. kynder A woman to a man is But a mere chapter, But a man to a woman Is an entire book.-- Kynder Howell |
