A gentleman (?) Dawn breaks the night And proudly enter I, Wearing a suit over White shirt and red tie. Looking better than Anybody else can, Because me - I am a thoroughbred gentleman! To be one-up I pull my co-workers down; Poisoning ears Till I get people to frown. Won't let them Promote him while I can Because me - I am a perfect gentleman! United we stand, Divided we're bound to crack, If you squeal on me, I'll stab you in the back. I live my life Exactly the way as I can, Because me - I am a well-cultured gentleman! I am hooded Wearing a mask so you won't see, The wily animal That lives deep inside of me. Deception seems to be My only master plan, Because me - I am a distinguished gentleman! ------ Note: I am sorry if this sounded caustic to some readers... - Sudhir < !signature--> Darkness imprisoning me All that I see Absolute horror I cannot live I cannot die Trapped in myself Body my holding cell ~ Metallica - One [This message has been edited by Sudhir Iyer (edited 08-04-2000).] |

Caustic? Not at all! The truth behind many revealed! GreAT! It rings many bells though, unfortunately. Have you just unmasked such a monster? Lotharingia "Dreams are life, reality, creation" Miguel de Unanumo |

It's very smooth and facile but I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of you. Well done! Kethry "There are times in life a kindred spirit comes along. Hold onto those people. They are what makes this life worth living."- Anon |

Not caustic, sudhir, just very very real... quite a portrait of this guy, and I think most of us have run into him at one time!!! Thank you, sir. |

I've worked with him! Good one Sudhir, brings out the fact that sometimes the people who do these things see themselves as being right in doing them. |

Is it ok if I say this reminded me slighty of one of my favourite books "American Psycho" "My mask of sanity was a victim of impending slippage." Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. Anyone that point made, a wonderfully written poem. Excellent poem, the reason I refer to the book is that the main character in the book was also a perfect gentleman except for going on the odd killing spree. Ok so it is not that relevant. Great poem. "I am melancholy, flower cutting through stone" manic street preachers |

I know him, I've met him, There was even a time I may have been him. Great work! God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

This is why I hate corporate America! It promotes this kind of behavior. Unfortunately, corporate America seems to be taking over the world. Nicely done Sudhir. Beware scheming co-workers!!
