Hey, I shared this with a lot of my online friends so bare with me if this is a repeat. It has been a while since I've posted, hope ya'll haven't forgot about me. Alone we beg for another's company TO tell or our dreams and sorrows, TO talk about forgotten yesterdays And all of the many tomorrows. Alone we seek a missing link TO a chain of empty thoughts, To escape these figurative walls That so many of us are caught. Alone we cry our tears of pain Which falls upon deaf ears, Lonely hearts just seek true love And happiness for the unanswered years. ALone we are given a miserable mystery To solve without a single clue, Trying to find a way to leave it behind But there's no one to run to. ALone we finally find true love Now a single heart becomes two, Frequently we hear those blessed words Those being "I love you". Together we make our way down A long and unknowing road, Feeling stress-free and content Indeed we've lightened the load. Together we no longer search for The answer to this fairytale, Our hearts flutter and minds race And our emotions set sail. Together we become secure in each other And find our place in this mess, There is no problem we cannot conquer With such vigor and a little finesse. Together time passes us by We prepare to make it eternity, A day we thought would never seek us Now we accept with integrity. Together something goes horribly wrong And the tears begin to pour, A soul that once danced lightly Now lies battered and sore. Together we try so desperately To make the situation mend, But then we see the truth There is no way to make amends. Alone again to analyze a dream And all the promises made, Questions that go unanswered And to rest this fantasy is laid. Alone one cries and the other prospers Whatever the excuse may have been, You swear you will never get hurt With such intesnisty ever again. Alone we reflect on what we thought Was indeed destiny's child, Like all good things it came to an end And indeed the ride was wild. Alone we wonder just "what if" Yet we remember the inflicted pain, I for one will never go through it again For this would be totally insane. Alone we should not be afraid When love comes knocking at our door, Yet we jump to seek mistruth And neglect to remember what it is for. Alone we can't learn to love For all we do is break and cry, Alone we darken within our souls And eventually Alone we will die! Jeremy T. Sellers 1/17/00 11:22 PM First one of the new century. Wow! What a sad perspective of one's life, I understand the thinking of this, but hope sincerely hope there is more to life than this... Over dramatised we'll say. A wonderful work here hon!! I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn..... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Isis my dear, if you can't use a little drama, then what is there? "Those little slices of death, how I loathe them." -Edgar Allen Poe |

Jeremy, I know what you mean, I am always reading something and thinking, God I could have written that. Or at the least, it was written for me! Loved this poem, yes very sad, but life does go that way, and as Hardrock once wrote, cycle in, cycle out. Its good, its bad, its good, its boring, its over.. catalinamoon |
