FAR UNDERTOW Curiously I question the safety of darkness Why am I here beneath dirt on my own again? Hopelessly climbing a ladder without steps And I never reach the top Seems there never is an end Rather I slide further below in fright Fearing the depth underneath is fathomless Hoping that someone above will here my pray Though my faith is worn and thin It's the only thing I got Why am I asking more questions that come again? 'Cause maybe it was me who chose this loneliness And so lonely it has been, that even God himself Scarce seemed here to be Afraid I am now to close my lids Straining my eyes to keep them open Postponing the dawning as far as possible For Oh! How i hate the morning! Deep down Far undertow I pine for my bride in the black wedding gown And I know some day she'll arise from below |

Your poem floods me with many sensations....very depressing..... very dark, I guess The question in my mind: It is our choice to be lonely and for how far shall we creep down? I love it Broken |

Broken..Very dark stuff here. Very appropriate for DP. Lots of good questions asked. Very good read. Hardrock |
