Hallowed Be My Sufferance I doubt the light would care if my black soul engulfed me in an eternal nightmare, or that the world would hear if my blood ran freely onto the floor in fear. That any one would notice if I screamed profanity with forked tongue in vengance, or that my eccentric nefarious ways will gain understanding or honey-coated praise. So I shall remain in the comfort that I know so well, where my deamons and darkness were rocked gentely as I fell. In the night with sweet mystery and the shadows dancing upon the walls... Hallowed be my sufferance with silent screams of evidence. There is an alter ego which dwells in every soul... a-alibaster |

It is difficult in the light, when we are comfortable and know the dark, rocking our fears within what we know, but yes the light does care, A terrific poem so richly dark, so hauntingly at home. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

this is different in my view i see light in the darkness of black because i feel evil and a tidbit of a darkened heart help express oneself even better. I'm the lord, I'm the havoc, I'm the soul |

I thank you all for your kind words. They are much appriciated! Jeremiah...I agree with you completely! I accept and love my darkness. It makes me what I am...and without it, I would be nothing! hunter...exactly...no one would care, but that is fine with me as long as I am rocked gentely by the dark. Joel... : }~ glad that it touched you!! I know that some one/ the light would care...maybe as I do my inner searching, I am the one who would not care if the light noticed! There is an alter ego which dwells in every soul... a-alibaster |

To glimpse the light is to live. To live one life, a sentence. |

there's deep pain here, equisitely expressed too. Kathleen "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace." Elizabeth Barrett Browning |
