I hate it when you're gone from me, your coolness makes me hurt. Some days I feel you're really here, most days I feel like dirt. I wait for you to call or write, you know it means so much. And still you let life interfere, no time for us to touch. Yes,I know you want me wrapped up tightly in your arms. To hold me close and love me (and leave with the alarm..) What good is this, such wasted love, I know it should be more. I dare not mention it to you for fear you'll close the door. Hopeless, helpless, hurtful love, but love it will remain, you come, you go, you barely stay and leave behind my pain. And still I welcome you each time, my arms are open wide. Just please don't go and leave me while they hang limp at my side. The chance of future happiness may seem remote at best. I know that if I persevere, this love will stand the test. You'll finally come right to my side and tell me it is done. Regardless of the consequence you know I am the one. I wait, I know it will come soon. I swear it will this time. I see the looks my friends give me, they think it's all a lie. But they don't know you as I do, the brilliant, perfect man. The promises you make to me, someday you'll make a stand. I'll feel your arms bring back the light and send the beasts away. The warmth of love is mine again. A truly happy day.. written with hope, for K. Sorry to disillusion you, but there are no perfect men, there is no perfect love and living in "Fantasia" is really nice untill cruel reality spits you right between the eyes... Hope is a necessity but you better hope for something more real than a future with a married man. Sorry again, I'm feeling kinda down right now... but I still loved the poem, as usual a great piece! |
