~Fading Kisses~

Your soft lips caress my awaiting skin.
Gently teasing with each warm touch
Relaxed and at peace I am then
For I know I've never been loved this much.

My heart seems to freely swim
In a pool of warmth and emotion.
Knowing this is of no whim
My ship sets sail upon your ocean.

With each new caress of your care
With each memory being made.
I soon realize that what once was there
Is now beginning to fade.

Each kiss makes my skin tingle,
But only shortly does it stay.
For as the ringing bell does jingle
The sound must always fade away.

Feelings of a warm summer's day are made
By what your gentle lips give to me.
Even though from my skin they may fade,
They will never from my memory.

Very beautiful!  You have my vote!

"Each kiss makes my skin tingle,
But only shortly does it stay.
For as the ringing bell does jingle
The sound must always fade away." -- that is very true, but, as you said, it stays in your memory.  I loved it!

Ahh Minstrel,
So true, only by keeping the memories we hold dear can we truly value what is yet to come.
Well written, you have my vote!!!
