    If I were a plant

Thoughts talk endlessly
Walking in the rain.
Which drops will wet me
And which drop falls vain?

Torrents are flowing
Through chasms that turn
From some I will glean
For some I will yearn.

I'm wet to the bone
No shelter no door
I walk in the rain
And feel it no more.

If I were a plant
With roots in the ground
Would be no question
Which drop would be sound.

Hi!  I really like this!  As I read it, I was suddenly struck with inspiration for something of my own!  Thanks!
I especially like the first stanza about the rain drops.

Love,
Stephanie
