Softly I was awakened in the stillness of the night.
A mans gentle voice whispered a name,
It wasn't mine.
Fear gripped me.
The darkness seemed to swirl.
Again he spoke to her,
"Elizabeth, my darling, come to me".
My heart was racing now.
Who was this stranger?
And was the darkness masking his face?
Suddenly she spoke,

These spirits were one again.
I blinked as I saw their figures.
And slowly they began to dance.
