I know all Heaven's rejoycing
Another child has come home
A tired, world-weary traveler
Has found peace, no longer to roam
In death our spirits are lifted
To our new home, far better than here
Where everyone's well and so happy
Greeting friends and loved ones so dear
The angels are singing his welcome
The news of his coming has spread
All heaven's awaiting to celebrate
The crowning of one more haloed head
Saint Peter and God both await him
The last page from his life's book is torn
No longer does he have to wonder and fear
In death we don't die we are born
As the stars in the sky start to twinkle
And God darkens His heavenly dome
The night is a little bit brighter
One more of God's children's come home!
