Generally speaking We like to rush through life Getting from point A to B Without much toil and strife. Generally speaking We're glad when things are over Changings, Feedings, Bedtime Busy as a beaver. Generally speaking, We like our time alone Longing for the quiet times Away and on our own. Generally speaking We say things we don't mean Like, "God, I miss my single days," And "I never have time for me." Generally speaking Babies do not die But live a long and healthy life We watch their dreams and cry. Generally speaking Life has seemed to cease Since you left us, deep within There is no joy or peace. Generally speaking I'd rather have you here Than to have a moment all alone And sit here in my tears. Generally speaking I have too much time to fill I'd much rather care for you Than sit here so, so still. Generally, speaking I'd rather have you back I'd give all I had in life To hold to as you'd laugh. Generally speaking I miss you more than life My heart and home are empty I wish you were alive.
