Sitting in my drive way, Oh, what’s a man to do? I hated walking out on her- I’m dreading facing you... When it comes to bad decisions Looks like I’m on a roll- It’s hard to believe this life of mine Is so out of control. I guess that it is some form, Of mid-life crisis, true. I’m torn between my love and duty Oh, what am I to do? Guilty feelings weigh me down, Of what is going on. Lies, and cheating, foolish dreams- I know it’s all so wrong... Is there not a need for love- Within this empty shell? But vows I made and duty sworn Make life a living hell. Oh, how I long to start my truck- and drive into the night. And flee the awful mess I’ve made, But I know that isn’t right. So I sit, and sigh, and cry- Sometimes the whole night through- And die a little more inside, Oh, what’s a man to do? |
