Special thanks to Bill Charles for editing this poem and working with me on it. Thanks Bill! Afraid I'm afraid to share with you, and I'm afraid to care for you. But I want to share with you, and I want to care for you. My confused heart is afraid it might break in two, and my inner-most being is afraid of the pain, from loving you. But my heart doesn't want to break, and inside I don't want to feel the pain. I want the security of your love, I want to grow old with you, and be with you in heaven above. How do I reach the security of you, how do I grow old with you, and how can I be with you in heaven above? I want to be your one and only love and wife, I want your arms around me, keeping me safe from strife. Am I still your one and only, or are your arms around another, keeping her safe from strife? There is so much that I want to say, but I find it very difficult, with you being so very far away. At times I believe you don't want to hear what I say, and it seems to become more and more difficult, the longer and further you are away. "didi" |

What a beautiful expression of sincerety and truthfulness. This is the kind of thing that melts my heart when heard because I've been close to somebody who feels like you do. I cant help but be overjoyed that you let feelings like this be seen. Wonderful! And very touching. Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer. |

Yes 'didi', what a master piece you have written. I had a tear when I helped to edit this, and I had another tear when I read it tonight. You do have words inside of you, please keep writing and putting them into a poem. |

ddgoose...a very nice poem, dd...I know those feelings and the first few times writing ever..they poured out and overflowed and sometimes letting them erupt naturally shows and tells so much of the person behind the hurt, the want, the desire, the happy in life ... thank you for sharing and WELCOME Maureen |
