I am posting these two poems together, in celebration of my 1000th post. I owe the final beautiful touches to my partner in rhyme....Prometheus, (aka: Jamie). I would like to thank him once more for the answer, "I would..." to my question: "Would You?" What would poetry be without poets to share their special thoughts? "Would You?" Would you wander through this world and dance with me across this naked land? Would you still reach out to me, knowing how I long to take your hand? Would you like to run through misty forests just before the break of dawn? Would you chase the shadows one by one until the dark is finally gone? "I would..." I would wander.. I would dance.. I would reach out.. And take the chance.. I would run.. I would lay.. I would touch.. And brush your fears away.. "Would You?" Would you lay me down in fields of daisies in a meadow kissed by dew? Would you gently touch my soul with words of love that come from only you? Would you start a fire in my soul I can't control then walk away? or.. Would you take me deep within your arms of love, and kiss my breath away? "I would..." I would warm.. I would stay.. I would hold you.. And kiss your breath away.. "Would You?" Would you wish upon a star while lying with me, naked in the night? Would you dance with me while watching spirits dance within the Northern Lights? Would you chase the cold within my heart, by songs of love on wings of fire? Would you be the one to fill the need that grows within my heart's desire? "I would..." I would wish.. I would sing.. I would desire.. And fill that need.. "Would You?" Of all the questions I have asked, the one that has the hardest words to say.. Is one that has been known to break the spell, and drive your lover away.. Just little words, once spoken, soon determine how one's life will surely be.. I'm asking of your heart, for my heart's sake: Just tell me, please... Would you love me? "I would..." I would speak.. I would show.. I would please.. ~ ~ ~ ~ And love you so.. Once again, my thanks to Jamie..... You made this posting special!! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! [This message has been edited by Sunny1 (edited 08-14-2000).] |

Sunny, how beautiful a duet. I loved this poem, and to see it combined with such beautiful answers, wow! And congrats on #1000. Also as an aside to Jamie, So there really are men like you in the world.. I am happy to know that.. catalinamoon Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think. Lord Byron |

Sunny, For some reason the poem stayed where it was when I replied. So, I thought that I would try again. |
