This was originally posted on Dark Passions #2. It is posted here with a few, significant alterations. I am a Barbie see my plastic smile you can do most anything so stay with me a while Put my legs above my head I will never pout if you choose to hit me I'll not scream or shout Watch me keep my figure sometimes it's a trial I have to starve and vomit and keep my brilliant smile In the early morning I'm awake you'll see you'll never see me haggard I'm groomed perfectly I am a Barbie see my plastic smile plastic, boobs, plastic heart no feelings for a mile. I'm a plastic Barbie my life may seem inane but to keep appearances I'll quietly go insane. "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |

What a wonderful way to bring to light the ways of the now a day world. No one wants to except us for what we are so we try to give them the commercialized version instead. The perfect package created by man instead of leaving the work of God alone. Whose eyes do YOU suppose are better and whose opinion do you value most? Great write and thanks for letting me vent briefly. |

This is so totally a good poem ...I mean where do I start?...many people do not see others for who they are, what they stand for, or what they know..as long as looks go...your set!?...I have had this problem in my life and it's nice to see that someone can extract those feelings from me b/c I know that I couldn't come up with a better concept myself Great work |
