Far beneath the ocean, In a cold and watery grave, Lies the once majestic ship, One that more than a few had bragged, Not even God himself could sink. It was her maiden voyage. A celebrity she had become. The poor, The rich, The in between, They sailed on her as one. But fateful day she met her doom, On a cold and bitter morn. Her elegance would see demise. Titanic would sail no more. So now the sea and all its life, Are all the dwell aboard. Yet ghostly tunes of the band that played, In darkness can be heard below. Juliet~ Very nice read on the ship of fascination. I wrote this last year and thought you might enjoy reading it. ~*Marge Tindal*~ Sailing to eternity lost tossed upon the sea Sightless lovers dance no more entombed instead on oceans floor 'neath the cover of the sea Titanic lovers melody plays oh, so hauntingly ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
