The pale light leaks from the lantern, The sky’s ablaze. I see the patterns Of clouds;-- happy faces and frowns, And black holes, where sight drowns, Imagination roams free and I’m there Also. Darkness reflects me. I stare At my skin, my eyes and my body. I’m naked. I wish that somebody Would bring me a towel. Alone I hear consonants hitting a stone, As though I’m held captive by walls,-- I knock on passing-by souls, Not a single soul opens. Gray fingers Reach for the bread. Eternity lingers To feed me, to give up mere seconds. The silent emptiness beckons Me to follow its trail. The burden Of time falls on my shoulders. The warden Dingles the keys on the chain, -- Mocking. Clouds burst. The rain Falls on the flame, -- lights’ out! I’ve re-gained my senses. Around Me, there’s just darkness and only The flame of the soul of the lonely Conscience, that burns inside Me, gives me the light. |

(shivers) Man this was a cold and chilling one. Sounds like a nightmare! Excellent use of words, to portray such feelings. Great job! <*\\\>< The will of God will never lead you, where the grace of God cannot keep you. |
