I’ve tried to find the words, dear- To tell you how I feel... Explain emotions, hitherto unknown. Of how your presence thrills me, And makes my senses reel, The loneliness, the times that you are gone. The way your kisses sooth me- And drive away the sting... Of sorrow, which so long has been my lot. You love me for the man I am, And wouldn’t change a thing, I’m glad. I can’t be something that I’m not. You always seem to sense, girl- When I am feeling down... And know exactly what I need to hear. You know I draw strength from you, Somehow my heart you’ve bound, I feel that I must always have you near. So, sit beside me darling- I need to hold you close... Assure me of your love just one more time. And as I travel down the road, The thing I cherish most, Are your memories carried with me in my mind. Gunslinger, I always look for your work, you know. You, my friend, are a natural. This is just lovely. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Slinger~ Very nicely told. 'And as I travel down the road, The thing I cherish most, Are your memories carried with me in my mind.' Nice to have those memories, eh? ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
