A young woman sat quietly by the street the expression on her face shown quite bleak. She had lived this way all her life, all she had ever known was strife. Yet in all her hardships she had ever encountered… she was a symbol of the world: Hope A child played in a quaint little park, now way past his bedtime, and way after dark. He was but one child on the earth, but he certainly was not one of the first, He had been this way since his birth… a symbol to the world: Innocence An old man looked out the window of his home. The time and the hardship on his face was shown He had told of the knowledge he always had known, though the price he paid was heavy, he taught the children, as a loan. With all the truths he did learn, he knew one last thing… he was a symbol: Wisdom A woman flees from the scene, not willing to know what is to be, she had performed a terrible crime, and now she would be there to do her time. She had done a terrible thing, yet she knew what she was… an example to the world: Human wrong And here I stand in front of you, knowing what none would see to be true. With every day I grow a little weaker, and yet I am still a speaker. I tell you now what I know I am… a symbol of this world: I am Truth. Our world contains so many different kinds. It is in our number that it binds. Like a rope, we all need each other. We all work together. Because it is in what we are as a whole that we finally realize what we truly are: Human "The universe is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper." "Because it is in what we are as a whole that we finally realize what we truly are: Human" -- What wise and well written musings my friend...your poetry is coming along so well! I loved this, the great message, and the truth woven within it. ![]() *Krista Knutson* "You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back." -Barbara DeAngelis |

Our world contains so many different kinds. It is in our number that it binds. Like a rope, we all need each other. We all work together. Because it is in what we are as a whole that we finally realize what we truly are: Human Your words are indeed wise as you have heard. You have said so much in this verse of yours and yes we are only human and if more people could see as you do then just imagine the wonderful world of peace we would live in. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
