In The Palm Of My Hand

I reach up to the sky to hold a star
For every time that you make me smile.
I am gathering them, the entire night sky,
Filled with lights, strewn forever and a mile.

If I could hold them all in the palm of my hand
And feel the burn in my heart,
I'd never be sad, nor lonely at all.
Feelings captured, we'd never seem apart.

In all these stars, are the twinkling of eyes
Of yours when I look up above.
Oh these heavens are swirling, just from my thoughts
And these feelings I'm having, my love.

If a star would then fall with each thought that I have
When you come into my mind,
The sky would soon empty and dark would appear.
In the palm of my hand, You, I'd find.
