**** This is just a series of poems I wrote about a Mysterious black haired girl that entered my life literally one night for a brief period of time and then was gone **** Though I choose to live in the light, the night pulls at fragments of my soul, just to balance this adventure... Parker Raven Hair A shimmer seen one mans dreams the color of the night the Raven Hair you dare to ware is stunning to my sight Brunettes will frown with blondes around till auburns take the scene but all will stare at Raven Hair she enchants them like a queen. James Parker Haley (c)1993 Raven Queen I fall asleep to vivid dreams Of the one I call the Raven Queen She calls to me in the pale moonlight True Lovers of a long ago Life Her Ebony locks are dark as the night And wondrous eye's brighter then bright Oh Raven Queen, you're all I see Run with me to an ocean breeze We'd make Love in the sand, of a Far away Land You and me on a southern Sea Oh Raven Queen, Oh Raven Queen Of my Dreams. James Parker Haley (c)1993 Dreams of the Raven A black bird sits on my windowsill and talks to me at night the shimmer of its feathers glow from the touch of the full moons light A message from the dreams of time When the Ravens eyes met mine. They tell of places hidden deep, and emotions that, forever keep in the recesses of the mind. Though locked away from the fragile heart, they'll whisper in the dark and dance, in the dreams of the Raven. James Parker Haley Feb 14, 1994 I Fear the Night I fear the night, not the darkness, not the shadows that runs from the moonbeams, searching light but the evil of the moments, of their eternity that creeping hand of time, extending, unrelenting. I fear the night Not the Quiet, Not the stillness. that should bring me the comfort Of my security, of my sleep, But the thoughts, of the Raven, of the kiss the Raging dreams, of her passion of her eyes, of her Love I fear the night, not its coming, not it's going, the wish for love, for dreams, for Romance, But the unknowing, of her distance, of her absence that she may never really be, in my arms, as I dream, in the night. James Parker Haley (c)1994 The Time We Had I think of moments come and moments gone and of those few where my love was strong You needed me when, I really needed you and we made the touch that lover's often do and in that time, as brief as it was new I lost my heart, to the one whose kiss, would turn my thoughts from all the girls I ever knew. Oh my love, there will never be a moment, that'll pass, When I don't think about, the time we had... Always your poet, forever your friend, a place in my heart till the very end. James Parker Haley (C)1994 Still I wander in the night, in fear, and in joy, though the color, might have changed, the adventure remains… Parker …..Aug 2000. serenity, I would say that anything is appropriate in the night. and lol to the frigging rocks reference. You've got a great memory for a night crawler like myself. Well then brunette on over here, just get rid of the funny furry bunny boots... Thank you for giving me a smile tonight... Parker |

serenity, thats another line from that poem your referring to. I must have warped through time itself For I heard a maiden call, Hark, who hides in frigging rocks You've crushed my treasured holly hocks With mustard of the bravest Knight I staggered through yon goldfish moot And fell upon your wooden boat, I must have scared your furry bunny boots, Cause they tried to kick me in the snoot. ... you just shaved, that's more information then I need. Can I see... Marge, thank you. Parker |

I just shaved too...I don't think that fits in here though... Wonderful poems all. You have a great ability to keep the mood going in the same direction even though these poems are separate works. Excellent writing...thoroughly enjoyed! Sounds to me like she was a wonderful heart warming experience |

ethome, OMG do you shave your legs too. I don't want to know anymore. serenity please check and see if he did a good job.... Well, I think these poems just flowed with the relationship, there might have been more but as the story goes, my muse went underground for six years when she walked out the door.... Parker |

"Raven hair and ruby lips, sparks fly from her finger tips, echoed voices in the night, she's a restless spirit on an endless flight, woo hoo, witchy woman, see how high she flies...woo hoo, witchy woman, she got the moon in her eyes!" The Eagles |

Parker~ these are fantastic! I have Auburn hair and I'll be the first to say, I bow to the ones with hair so black, there's blue in it. I've only seen it once and was awed. Great poems. -SEA Live,Love,Laugh :) ~SueB |
