Supine in Memories Bed.........a repost from forever ago I think to my youth, just look at you ripe and ribald, delicious in discovery of lovely love. Into that open door where tears were at the ready the vibrant, vulnerable heart couldn’t wait that kissing ardor just around the corner. It was a blessed time, fragrant with bright buildings and silver slanted rain on nights with no umbrella, wild and free in youthful negligence, that lovely dimpling on the satin water where shacks of light drowned. There were verdant hills melting houses muted colors of fog glistening bright steel glass eyed buildings that watched with such gleaming strength that reverie burned. Just look at you, drenched in this mystic moment engulfing me in your nonchalance, singing to me of bodies longing, touching that magic place of screaming zenith that brings such reverence to this walking backward. Remind me of the anguish you endured with your fresh heart and soften this pillow. [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 08-05-2000).] |

Martie, I am trying not to WOW here but how can I reply to this without wowing or using words like "BRilliant" and "amazing." It is impossible. I loved this poem, very beautiful yet quite sad. See the silly observations I am making now. THe poem was WOW...WOW...Brilliant. "I am melancholy, flower cutting through stone" manic street preachers |

I did'nt get the chance to read this the first time Martie but I sure am glad I got to now. Such beautiful and moving word pictures of a special time of love and the curve at the end made it a great read. |

Mike--thanks for responding again...I think you and Denise were the only ones to respond to it the first time round...so I thought I'd post it again...cause I like it. Mark--don't even say those words about someone missing...saying it might make it so. Thanks for your always sweet comments. brian--I love those words...thanks! ethome--yes, the ending is meaningful...thanks so much for saying so and for your wonderful comment. I love amazing you, Marge...hugs! |
