Can I Hold You I breathe you, I live you, I live for you, I love you I touch you, I feel you, I hold you each moment through But, you'll never hear the words when we live each day apart You don't ever have to take my hand because you already have my heart... Can I hold your heart like you hold the night And, can I be the one to make all things right Will you let me lead you to a different day Show you all good can come from unfamiliar ways... I know what you think and how you try to change your mind But, still there's a part of me that gets to you each time So, you'll never allow yourself to take my hand You've brought reasons and distance to your familiar land... So, I stand to the side and I wait my turn And, pray you find me somewhere in all you learn Cause if you would step into my world for a change You'd see no wrong at all in anothers rain... Don't believe I can't feel and that I can't see I'm never blind to what my heart allows me Can I hold you as you hold truth in life's endless song Don't be scared, you've taught me nothings ever wrong... Can I hold you so you can feel what I can feel And, lets see how the eyes can make the same dream real Don't seperate what could be a complete new mile One that for a lifetime could make you smile... Can I hold you just once even if in a dream I can hold that feeling forever it seems I've lived and I've loved you for a lifetime anyway And, now there's nothing at all that could take it away... Never hide when your heart wants to dance once more Cause I'll only be standing there behind every door So, now, can I hold you even closer to me Just one long endless walk and a whole world to see Saun Sauni :) Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps |
