oh how I wish that I could call in a pinch hitter for this someone else to step up to the plate and take the heat someone else to make the call a hit a homerun take the easy way out and walk… or strike out? if only but its not that easy no one else can swing the bat for me its my life from this moment on no one else to blame if it all goes to hell no one else to take the credit if I finally find reason to smile oh how I wish that that just for this moment I could step away and be someone else anyone else just not me |

There is no replacement worthy of you nor your hits. Step up to that plate and swing with all your might. The one you hit may not go out of the park, but in the end it is all figured on averages anyway. Head up...shoulders straight....eyes forward....now focus and give it all you got. |

I'd like to pinch-hit for you, girl But I can't find my bat! I thought I had it here but now I don't know where it's at! I used to swing so mightily I always was a hit I used to bat a thousand..one Could always count on it. But then I struck out once or twice and confidence was shattered. So I just lost my will to score Not that it really mattered. I'm sorry for the game you're in And what you're going through. If you will please pinch-hit for me Then I'll pinch-run for you! |

I think we all have these days ... I know I have them more than most people ... someone to take over and drive for a while as we rest our head on their shoulder ... you wrote this well Corazon ... wish I could help Rex |

Oh my dear friend, how I know the meaning of this poem. Sometimes I wish I could take the blows for you, but each of us must take our own....just remember, keep your eye on the ball and slug with all your might. Hugs |
