Hi! I haven't posted in a while, but I've been reading a bunch and it's all great stuff! This is something I wrote in attempt to write a song, but, well... you'll see what happened. C&C appreciated, unless you think it sucks beyond belief, in which case, keep it to yourself. sitting here with my guitar words dance through my mind but not one single song so far not one song that's mine the words come from everywhere with meaning and depth each time i blink and with every breath but when i strike a chord i can't sing a word not a word not a word not a word rhythm is easy rhyme, unavoidable structure and message come soon but each remains empty of passion and feeling when i speak without singing a tune i lay the guitar on the table with care and return to the paper and pen i'll write the words now and repeat them all day and if they sing, let the song in |

Yes, a song must sing itself. If it doesn't then it is a poem. You've got a good one here. Sing while you may -The Prophet Q'spel Your pain is for you alone, As it is, As it was, As it will be forever, Amen -The Prophet Q'spel |
