Message In A Bottle
by Linda Munday

There were many times I wanted
For you to hold my hand
And so many times I needed
For you to understand

The message from my heart to yours
Bobbing on our stormy sea
You never really noticed
How I needed you to be

Someone who listened to my heart
When whispered through my tears
And maybe just a tissue passed
When I cried throughout the years

And though you called my your princess
Disappointment crowned my head
Your promises never broken
Because they were never said

So in my heart I kept the notes
Although they caused me pain
The message sealed inside blue glass
I’ll send the bottle out again.
