She tried to go unnoticed
As she crept across the lawn,
Headed toward the feeder,
She gave a gaping yawn.
Didn't know I was on to her,
She thought she'd have a feast,
Little birds fly quickly,
As I warn them of this beast.
Green eyes flashing anger,
Her tail starts to twitch,
She hisses and heads toward me,
This little feline...witch.
But, Bodawg to the rescue,
He was ready for a snack,
Clumsily he starts running,
As he nears her there's a whack!
The kitty's paw attacks him,
But he won't let her win,
As he is barking wildly,
The cat just starts to grin.
Out comes Carl, the other dog,
He thinks this cat's his mom,
Purring like a kitten,
The cat starts getting calm.
Just then big Bo pounces,
He's got her in his grasp,
But she's got Carl on her side,
And together they kick Bo's....butt.
So I sped off to the pet store,
And bought a cat that's remote control,
And Bo knows what to do next time,
That cat is out for a stroll.

Terrific visuals Bonnie! Loved the adventure, now make sure Bo learns his lessons well, so he's up for the next round! Much fun, great poem!

Bonnie - A beautiful tale *sniffles and weepie, sentimental tears*. Poor Bo did his best to protect his mistress, despite the overwhelming odds. Poor puppy. He deserves a place of honor on your bed tonight. As for that cat and that cat-loving dog who thinks he's a cat!!!! Vicious, backstabbing kitties and wannabe kitties! Whar's me boots! I love this poem you've written, Bonnie.
