I gotta tape and to wrap, strap my spurs on my boots- Then I’ll rosin up my riggin’ and head for the chutes. You ask, What’s your hurry? Well, my schedule’s full- I got a date tonight with a real rank bull. I’ve been a drivin’ all day, and I’m runnin’ late- I gotta have a good wrap when they pull the gate. My daddy used to tell me, “You’ll take some falls- ‘Cause even the best can’t ride ‘em all. You gotta give all you got, when he’s between your knees- ‘Cause there ain’t no profit payin’ "turn out fees"”. Now I got to be ready when the gate is pulled- I got a “cain’t wait” date with a real rank bull. I’m never really livin’ "goin’ down the road"- It doesn’t matter if I ride, or if I get throwed... But I thrill to the cheers, and them arena lights- I gotta date with a real rank bull tonight So win, lose, or draw...I’m gonna try for eight- When I nod my head and they swing that gate. My one ambition is the PBR, I really got my doubts if I’ll get that far- You know I ride to live, and I live to ride- When the chute gate swings as I cry “Outside”!
