Just a note
to let you know
you no longer
cry alone
my hand
trembles
in recoil
my heart grieves
amid love's spoil
and if it's all
your comfort due,
in misery,
I'm company.
left in ponder
at this whim,
no surprise
alone again
cold shoulder
all I've ever known.
I need to learn
to love, "alone".

serenity, wonderful so wonderful is this piece. I interpret it for a certain state I seem to be going through. Thanks for that, dear poet.

Serenity so sad but yet so beautiful in the essence of the words sometimes we do think we are better off alone I just hope someone out there will renew your love and show you the real love they can offer for only you.

Serenity,

A wonderful friend once told me there is no good end, if it can't be sweet, let it be short. You are so right, but now I have to teach this soul of mine this oh so powerful wisdom. I bid you wisdom to take away the pain and remember what this friend of mine told me.

Love, Cerenity

I think it's important to learn to love alone before you try to love someone else. You gotta be happy with yourself! Great poem.

serenity, this touched me too. Loving "alone" is a sad state, to be sure, and one I am far too familiar with. Thank you for sharing these feelings so poetically.

The pain in this is very clear.....you have said a mouth full in such a short verse and it was written beautifully.
