Would it help to say, “I love you”, Though I have to go away? Would it help to say, “I find I need you- More and more each day”? Would it help to say, “So hate me”- Though I doubt you ever would? Would it help to say, “I’d love to stay- And would, dear, if I could”? But the trick of fate decrees it- I simply have to pack and go. I never would have dreamed that- I’d ever grow to love you so. I have to leave you sad, and crying... And I’ve cried a bit myself.
