Three Musketeers There are three guys one day I met While surfing on the Internet And they were spatting back and forth From west to east and south to north One from honorable seed has sprung But hides it with a worldly tongue And all the ladies see right through The mask attached with super glue The other speaks in earthly tones While rattling his jealous bones For he can hardly bear to see The other one win victory The third one is a balladeer With pen as sharp as any shear He slices words with bladed saw And enters in the free-for-all And there they were, three musketeers A rogue, a flirt, a balladeer Writing poems about each other Each outdoing one another Words of outrage, words of shame Calling one another names Shredding them to little pieces A war of words that never ceases But written in between the lines Are friendships you cannot define For fight they may with pen and ink They’re really closer than you think A camaraderie next to none Is treasure that the three have won And laughter is the end result Of verses laced with pure insult I swear that I have never met More mayhem on the Internet Elizabeth Santos |

I've been slow to read the penning of my male cohorts - but quick to discover one cannot ignore them - It is obvious now I must read even more - and this paean to Athos D'artagna et all -is wonderful Mr. Dumas would give you a sweeping bow as I do now |

Liz - a fabulous poem of epic proportions... soon to a major motion picture... I'll star as me, of course. Jaba the Hut can play Toerag, and Hugh Hefner can play Balladeer. What's that? Hugh already does that? This is great! No need for rewriting scripts - lol. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem, fine lady. Thank you. |

Ah, yes, I remember it well. A wonderful portrayal, Liz. That Toerogue has since bitten el dusto and LongJohn is still a flirt but now all the ladies realize he could only be charged for assault with a dead weapon but the Balladeer is alive and well and thanks you for all your kind words |

I am so happy that I have seen the "Three Muskateers" at work. This is wonderful. What a great way to spend an evening - reading these poems from the past. A |
